Comares - The Balcony of Axarquía

The tiny, white, impossibly picturesque town of Comares sits on top of a cliff, over 725 metres above sea level. It is one of the few villages in this area to explain its history to visitors - and Comares is steeped in history. There's a walking route in the village with ceramic footprints and signs to guide you round the village streets, most of which are too narrow to allow anything but the passage of people or the occasional mule, but not both.
